Bob Barber - CEO & Founder

As the founder and leader of CFAA my job is to see that the mission of CFAA is empowering Christians on a daily basis to make God pleasing decisions in how they give, spend, save and invest and that the vision will fund the Kingdom all for the glory of Jesus Christ. It is also my duty to daily follow the guidelines given to a leader and overseer as laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 which I would invite you to get your Bible and read. Proverbs 15:22 “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Pat Hail - VP of Education & Chaplain

I joined CFAA in June 2008 to begin a new journey as VP of Education & Chaplain to encourage Christians to influence their culture through the Biblical usage of God’s resources. I have spent the last thirty years of my life in full-time or volunteer ministry. Janet and I were married in 1981 and have three godly and talented children-Courtney, Caleb and Dylan.

How exciting it is to be a part of God’s work at CFAA! I became a member of CFAA in February, 2009 and shortly after committed my time and talents to CFAA in a more meaningful way [originally as the Coordinator of Memberships and then as Pastoral & Community Outreach Coordinator]. Prior to becoming a staff member at CFAA, I was a professional educator for twenty-eight years in El Paso, Texas [teacher, assistant principal, principal]. In addition to my career in public education, I have twenty years experience as a personal financial advisor and thirty years as a professional musician [both in New York City and Texas]. My life is adorned and completed by my beautiful wife, Journeth, and my two incredible children; Joshua Caleb and Hannah Gabriela.

Nathaniel Morris - VP of Financial Services

I have been with [the firm] since 2002. My responsibilities are to oversee the Client Services Department. This includes preparing and processing paperwork for new accounts as well as existing ones. I also conduct account reviews with clients, help to resolve account issues and keep up with all compliance regulations and licensing. I am also part of the CIS Management Team. Cerise, my wife, and I have two energetic boys and have been married since 1999.
 

Jonathan McBride's picture
Jonathan McBride - VP of Tax Services

Jonathan McBride has been a tax specialist since 2001 and executed over 4,800 flawless, timely tax returns since then. He attended Liberty University, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business, after retiring from the United States Navy. Jonathan and his wife Stephanie live in Schertz, TX and have two children, Chandler and Olivia. They are members of First Baptist Church of Universal City where he serves in the AWANA program as well as assists with Church under the Bridge in San Antonio.

Peter Banus - VP of Operations

I joined the staff of CFAA in late 2008. As the VP of Operations, it is my responsibility to ensure daily activities and processes are coordinated and stay on track to provide excellent service to our membership. My forty years of administrative/management experience is a combination of private and public healthcare, commissioned officer, and small business. I graduated from Suffolk University, Boston, MA, a BSBA with honors in 1977. I completed my masters from Washington Univerisity, St. Louis, MO with an MHA. I married my wife, Kay, in May of 1976, and we have a daughter, son and daughter-in-law.

Kirsten Taylor - Office Manager

I joined the staff of CIS in April of 2008 to assist Nathaniel with Client Services. I moved into the position of Office Manager in November of 2010. I work to ensure our office runs efficiently, handle bookkeeping, process payroll, assist Bob and coordinate our workshops and events. I graduated from Texas Lutheran University in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration specializing in Management.

Sal Cadena - Registered Representative
Designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional

I am a Registered Representative as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional. I am involved in all that CIS has to offer. I conduct client account reviews and meet with prospective clients for investment opportunities. Before joining CIS in 2002, I was an educator in Math and Computer Science. My wife, Patty, and I have two amazing girls and have been married since 1988.

Rachael Barber - Marketing Designer

As the Marketing Designer, I am in charge of designing all printed marketing materials which include the monthly newsletters, brochures, flyers, trade show exhibits, etc. I am the wife of the CEO & Founder of CFAA, Bob Barber. We have been married since 1984 and have three children and one son-in-law, Shawn Peters.

Shawn Peters - Client Services Associate

I joined CIS in May of 2008. I am licensed in the areas of securities, insurances and financial planning. I update account summaries and create software and technology for CIS. As of January 2010, trading management is also my responsibility. I graduated in May 2008 Summa Cum Laude from Liberty University with a degree in Business Finance. I married a wonderful, godly young lady, Jenna, in May 2009.

Rene Broughton - Administrative Assistant

I have been with CIS since 2001. My duties include taking care of client projects. I also make sure the team at CIS has what they need so they can continue to provide excellent service to our clients. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Bob, since 1984 and we have one very talented daughter.

Lisa Hinojosa - Sales & Marketing Assistant

Since joining CIS in 2001, I have been Bob’s Sales & Marketing Assistant. This position has allowed me the wonderful opportunity of being the first to get to know those who call our office inquiring about our services. It is also my responsibility to call our existing clients to schedule account reviews or workshop attendances. My husband, Adam, and I have four daughters. Adam and I have been married since 1985.
 

Jacob Herrera's picture
Jacob Herrera - Coordinator of Insurance Services

Jacob has been married since 2001 to his wife Erika and has ministered among many youth, orphans, broken hearted, and imprisoned; In the United States as well as Mexico, Africa, Ukraine, and India. Together Jacob and Erika are active members of Faith Outreach Center International in San Antonio. Jacob and Erika reside in San Antonio, Texas where Jacob was born and raised. Jacob has been a licensed insurance representative since 2007 and has a special interest in Long-term Care products as well as helping seniors with Medicare solutions. The CFAA Team knows that Jacob is here by divine appointment from the Lord!
